MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team fell to No. 11-ranked Minot State, 2-0 in the Dragons' home finale on Friday in Moorhead, Minn.
The Dragons fell to 3-13 overall and 2-12 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference while Minot State improved to 14-1-1 overall and 13-0-1 in the league and clinched the conference title outright with the win.
"I am very proud of the fight today and the growth of the team," MSUM head coach
Christie Chappell said. "Myself and the team will miss the seniors but they will always be part of Dragon soccer. We're looking forward to another game with them on Sunday."
Junior goalkeeper
Reagan VonBerge had a career-high 16 saves in the defeat for MSUM, including several tough saves to keep the Dragons within striking distance. Minot State had a 34-6 edge in shots.

Jessica Johnson had two shots, while sophomore
Ashley Coleman and freshman
Maren Soupir each had a shot on goal. Freshman
Mackenzie Monten had a shot as well for the Dragons.
MSUM wraps up the 2016 season on Sunday at Mary. Game time is 1 p.m. in Bismarck, N.D.
