MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team is back in action this weekend as they travel to Sioux Falls, S.D. for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches.  The Dragons will be up against the University of Augustana Vikings at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and the University of Sioux Falls Cougars Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
The Dragons are off to an undefeated 4-0 start to the season while posting a 3-0 record in NSIC play.  They are currently in first place in the NSIC standings, a half of a match ahead of the also undefeated Vikings.  The team is seeking to maintain first place in the NSIC and end Augie's regular season conference win streak at 67 on Saturday, while on Sunday they are looking to avenge last season's 5-4 loss to the Cougars.
MSUM only lost two sets in singles, leaving senior 
Morgan Smith, junior 
Jessamy Jones, and sophomores 
Jade Goodyear-Anderson and 
Ricquel Ramsbottom undefeated with 4-0 marks on the seasons.  Senior 
Ashley Wood and junior 
Maria Moral Carretero both went 1-1 on the weekend and are now 3-1 on the season.
The doubles tandem of Jones and Wood had another undefeated weekend and went to 4-0 on the season while Goodyear-Anderson and Carretero and Smith and Ramsbottom had victories against UMD, but suffered losses against St. Cloud putting the tandems at 3-1 on the season.
Jones has yet to lose a match in singles or doubles this season.
Oliver Summers is in his fourth year as MSUM's head coach.
About AugustanaThe Vikings are 4-0 (2-0 NSIC) after winning the two nonconference matches to Southwest Minnesota State (9-0) and Minnesota State (9-0) last weekend. Of the four wins this season, one includes a 5-4 win over NCAA Division 1 opponent Northern Iowa while in the other three wins the Vikings have held opponents without a point.  The team has won five straight NSIC tournaments and made six straight NCAA tournaments.  Marc Kurtz is in his eighth season as head coach with an overall 140-31 record and a 69-3 mark in the NSIC.  
About Sioux FallsSioux Falls is 4-2 (1-1 NSIC) on the season after splitting a pair of conference matches to Minnesota State (4-5) and Southwest Minnesota State (9-0) and a nonconference victory over Gustavus Adolphus (5-4) last weekend.  Kara Bunkers leads the USF singles with a 6-0 record while Courtney McCans has posted an undefeated 2-0 start to the season.  The doubles tandem of Stacey Beard and Abby Seigenthaler leads all USF doubles with a 6-0 record, though Bunkers and Kylie Simmons are 1-0.  Kevin Grebin is in his 15th season as head coach for the team.
