MOORHEAD, Minn. – Sophomore midfielder Jessica Dallman scored her first goal of the season, but the Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team came up short at home on a chilly Sunday afternoon, losing to St. Cloud State by a score of 3-1.

MSUM is now 2-5 overall and 1-4 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference while St. Cloud State is 4-2-2 overall and 3-0-2 in the NSIC.

Senior forward Jessica Johnson led MSUM with three shots. Dallman had one shot and one goal, while senior midfielder Megan Selanders had one shot. Sophomore forward Ashley Coleman assisted on the goal.

Junior goalkeeper Reagan VonBerge had nine saves in the match.

"Offensively we had some moments today. It was great to see Jess Dallman get her first goal this year," MSUM head coach Christie Chappell said. "Reagan had some unbelievable saves today against a strong offensive team. We have to stay focused and sharp for the full 90 minutes in order to see some more success."

St. Cloud State took a 1-0 lead into the second-half, and scored two goals early in the second half taking a 3-0 lead. Maria Kass had a hat-trick for the Huskies. Just 30 seconds after the Huskies third goal of the game, Dallman scored a goal with an assist from Coleman.

Up next for the Dragons is an away contest against Augustana in Sioux Falls. Game time is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1.
