MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team hits the road for a pair of conference games this week. The Dragons will play at Augustana at 11 a.m. on Saturday in Sioux Falls and conclude the trip at Wayne State for a 1 p.m. game on Sunday.

MSUM has played six of its first seven games at home this season.

Augustana leads the all-time series with MSUM 13-1; the Dragons lone win came in the first meeting, 2-1 in 2001. The Vikings have won 13 straight in the series.  Wayne State leads the series with MSUM 11-6-2; the two teams tied at 1-1 last season, and MSUM won 2-1 in 2014.

The Dragons are 2-5 overall and 1-4 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference after dropping 3-1 games to Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State last week. Senior Jessica Johnson and sophomore Jessica Dallman had goals for the Dragons while junior goalkeeper Reagan VonBerge had 23 saves in two games.

"Despite the lack of results on this past weekend the team is still making improvements from week to week," MSUM head coach Christie Chappell said. "I am confident that we have the opportunity to be successful this weekend and looking forward to get back on the road."

Johnson leads MSUM with three goals and six points on the season. Sophomore Annika Greaney has two goals and four points. Dallman has a goal and an assist to account for three points this season. Senior Megan Selanders, sophomore Ashley Coleman and freshman Rachel Jenson have assists for MSUM.

VonBerge leads the goalkeepers with 53 saves, second-most in the NSIC this season. She leads the conference at 8.83 saves per game. Freshman Kennedy Rodgers picked up the win against Black Hills State on Sept. 3 after playing in the second half and recording seven saves.

Christie Chappell is in her first season as MSUM's head coach.
