The games lone lead change happened at the 12:42 mark of the first half when the Dragons took an 8-7 lead behind a three-pointer from freshman guard
Evan Hines, after trailing 7-2.
A 16-6 run from the Dragons gave them their first double-digit lead of the game, and MSUM pushed its lead to 20 points at the half, up 42-22. The Dragons shot 48.6 percent from the field in the first half, while holding the Cougars to just 37.0 percent.
MSUM continued its pace in the second half, building a 31-point margin with 3:48 left.
MSUM got 36 points from its bench, and finished the game with 20 assists to seven turnovers.

Senior guard
Jon Doss scored a team-best 18 points for the Dragons off 5-of-9 shooting, including 4-of-8 from beyond the arc. The senior finished with two rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Sophomore forward
Addison Park finished with 13 points back in his hometown. Park shot 75.0 percent from the field with five rebounds and three assists.
Freshman guard
Evan Hines scored 11 points off the bench, going 3-for-6 from beyond the arc with five rebounds.

By winning tonight, the Dragons avoided getting swept on a weekend road trip since falling 92-70 at the University of Sioux Falls on Jan. 3, 2004 and coming up on the short end of a 70-68 decision at Southwest Minn. St. the next night.
