MANKATO, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 13 Minnesota State in Northern Sun Intecollegiate Conference action Sunday in Mankato, Minn.
Senior goalkeeper
Corina Edgington stopped a career-high 22 shots in the loss for MSUM.
Junior forward
Jessica Dallman had a shot on goal for the Dragon offense.
"Mankato is a very quality opponent. We battled hard and gave our all," MSUM head coach
Christie Kopietz said. "We're looking forward to playing well at home next weekend."
MSUM trailed just 1-0 at halftime but a pair of goals by Julia Zach in the second half helped the Mavericks pull away.
The Dragons will play three of their final four games at home, starting on Saturday vs. Upper Iowa. The game begins at noon.
