MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team fell to University of Minnesota Duluth, 2-1, in its Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference home opener.
MSUM is now 1-3-2 overall and 1-2-1 in conference play, while UMD is 5-1-1, 2-1-1 NSIC.
Junior midfielder
Jessica Dallman scored the first goal of the game, for the Dragons, in the tenth minute of play. The lead didn't last long, as the Bulldogs scored just seven minutes later to tie the game. The game winning goal was scored by Skye Finley for UMD at the 76:33-minute mark.
Dallman led the team with two shots, both on goal, while
Annika Greaney,
Marie Griffith,
Kylee Billings, and
Jenai DeNardo each made one shot.
Senior goalkeeper
Corina Edgington had six saves for the Dragons.
MSUM will travel to take on St. Cloud State University Sun. at 1 p.m.
