MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead men's basketball team downed Wayne State College, 90-66, Saturday night at Nemzek Fieldhouse in Moorhead, Minn. Junior guard
Travaun Coad recorded his fourth consecutive double-double to help lead MSUM to a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference victory.
The Dragons snapped their losing streak, improving to 5-13 overall and 3-9 in the NSIC, while Wayne State fell to 10-10, 5-7 NSIC.

Travaun Coad had 21 points to tie his career high, and added 12 rebounds to record his fourth straight double-double for the Dragons. Senior guard
Tanner Kretchman scored a team-best 25 points and added four assists, while sophomore guard
Johnny Beeninga had 21 points and two assists.
Addison Park added 13 points and five rebounds to the Dragons' efforts. Sophomore forward
Matt Anderson had seven rebounds while
Jake Johnson had six rebounds off the bench.
MSUM shot a season-high 57.6 percent (34-of-59) from the field compared to the Wildcats at 42.9 percent (27-of 63). The Dragons outrebounded WSC 40-23. MSUM also shot a perfect 15-of-15 from the foul line and 43.8 percent (7-of-16) from beyond the arc.
The Wildcats got off to an early 7-2 lead, however consecutive three-pointers by Beeninga and Coad set the Dragons ahead. WCS came back to hold a 16-14 edge with 11:02 left to play, but MSUM went on a 12-2 run to regain the lead. The Dragons led for the remainder of the first half, holding a 45-30 edge going into halftime.
Wayne State went on a 9-4 run to being the second half, cutting the lead to eight. MSUM would only build on its lead from there, leading by as much as 28 points with under four minutes to play.
MSUM concluded its four-game homestand with a 90-66 victory over the Wildcats.
Up next, the Dragons will travel to take on University of Minnesota Duluth, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m., before facing St. Cloud State University, Jan. 20 at 6 p.m.
