MANKATO, Minn. --Â The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team fell to No. 23 Minnesota State 3-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action on Sunday in Mankato, Minn.
Junior goalkeeper Kennedy Rodgers had a career-high 12 saves. The Mavericks outshot the Dragons 31-1 with a 15-1 shots on goal edge.
Senior Tomomi Nishihara provided MSUM's lone shot on goal.
The Dragons trailed just 1-0 at halftime after a Maverick goal was scores at the 43:33 mark. A pair of goals in the second half, including one at the 87:41 mark, allowed the Mavericks to pull away with the win.
MSUM is back on the road on Oct. 26 when they travel to face No. 3 Bemidji State for a 4 p.m. game. The final home game will be Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. as the Dragons face Minnesota Crookston on Senior Day.
