Huskies Edge MSUM Women's Soccer in OT, 1-0

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — A goal in overtime lifted St. Cloud State to a 1-0 win over Minnesota State University Moorhead in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference women's soccer on Friday in St. Cloud, Minn.

MSUM fell to 2-8 overall and 2-6 in the NSIC while St. Cloud State improved to 4-4-3 overall and 4-2-2 in the league.

"The team worked and fought really hard today — it was a good battle," MSUM head coach Christie Kopietz said. "Sometimes soccer is unforgiving and scoring is the hardest part. We have to keep giving these type of performances and give ourselves the opportunity to be in the mix for a win."

MSUM was outshot 21-8. Freshman goalkeeper Kayleigh Sedlacek had six saves for MSUM.

Seniors Tomomi Nishihara and Kylee Billings each had two shots, including one on goal. Senior forward Jessica Dallman had two shots as well.

MSUM wraps up the weekend Sunday at Minnesota Duluth for a 1 p.m. game.
