DULUTH, Minn. —The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to the University of Minnesota Duluth in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action on Sunday in Duluth, Minn.
Freshman goalkeeper
Kayleigh Sedlacek had 13 saves as the Bulldogs had 15 shots on goal compared to just one for the Dragons.
Junior midfielder
Maren Soupir had two shots and the lone shot on goal, while senior defender
Kylee Billings contributed one shot.
"The team worked incredibly hard today," MSUM head coach
Christie Kopietz said. "I'm proud of their effort."
UMD's Nan Glinsek scored at the 22:22 mark to give the Bulldogs the lead. Natalie St Martin added a goal at 54:52 to cushion her team's lead.
MSUM returns home for a pair of games against Wayne State on Friday at 3 p.m. and Augustana on Sunday at 1 p.m.
