FAYETTE, Iowa – The Minnesota State University Moorhead volleyball team was defeated on the road on Saturday, falling in three sets to Upper Iowa, 25-18, 25-16, 25-10 in Fayette, Iowa.
MSUM, which has lost four matches in a row, fell to 9-9 overall and 5-6 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference with the loss while Upper Iowa improved to 12-7 overall and 5-6 in the league.

Upper Iowa hit .339 for the match with 49 kills while MSUM hit .096 with 26 kills.
MSUM fell behind 16-7 in the first set but battled back to within 19-15 after a kill by sophomore middle blocker
Kylie Kanwischer. The Dragons would get no closer as they fell 25-18.
The Dragons faced a 13-7 deficit in Set 2 but battled back to within 13-11 after a Peacock error. A block from Jenkins and Selensky made it 18-16 in favor of Upper Iowa, but the Peacocks scored the final seven points to secure a 25-16 win.
Upper Iowa built a commanding lead early in the third set and went on to take a 25-10 win.
MSUM returns home to host No. 2 ranked Northern State on Tuesday.
