MOORHEAD, Minn. — Freshman guard
Bryce Irsfeld scored a career-high 23 points to lead the Minnesota State University Moorhead men's basketball team to a 98-70 win over Dickinson State in nonconference action Saturday in Moorhead, Minn.
MSUM is now 2-0 on the non conference season.
The Dragons shot 60.3 percent (41-of-68) from the field, including 45 percent (9-of-20) from three-point range.
Irsfeld finished 5-of-6 from three-point range and also added three rebounds and three assists.

Gavin Baumgartner added 16 points and five assists while senior forward
Addison Park had 13 points and five rebounds. Freshman guard

MSUM led 24-19 with 5:41 left in the first half but ended the first frame with a 22-6 run to take a 46-25 lead into halftime. Irsfeld scored eight points during that run while Hanson and Park drained threes.
The Dragons built the lead to as many as 34 in the second half on their way to a convincing win.
The Dragons will be on the road — across town at least — to face rival Concordia College on Tuesday night. Tip off is 7 p.m. at Memorial Auditorium.
Steve d'Eustachio Stat of the Game: Tonight was the 13th straight win over a non-conference school located in the state of North Dakota since a Dickinson State 77-71 win in Dickinson over the Dragons on Dec. 19, 2009. The victory was also the 21st straight home win over a non-NSIC school located in North Dakota since falling 76-66 to the University of North Dakota on Dec. 7, 2004.
