MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's swimming and diving team suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday, falling to the University of Sioux Falls 179-111 at the Nemzek Pool in Moorhead, Minn.
Senior diver
Amber Westereng led the Dragons (3-1), picking up their only two wins of the day. MSUM had 12 runner-up finishes on the day.
"Our team had a great week of practice. We started with great energy but lacked consistent output," King said. "This unfortunately overshadowed some of the great performances we did have."
Westereng won the 1-meter diving at 224.05 and also won the 3-meter diving at 231.55. Junior
Noelle Berg was second in the 1-meter diving (207.95) and 3-meter diving (210.00).
Senior
Taylor Beynon was second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.80 and second in the 200 IM (2:13.81).
Freshman
Kate MacGregor was second in the 100 back at 1:00.80 while
Leticia Rodovalho was second in the 200 fly in 2:17.26.
Senior
Josephine Hudoba was second in the 50 free at 26.14.
MSUM's 400 medley relay was second. That consisted of MacGregor, Beynon, Rodovalho and senior
Linnea Johnson. MSUM's 400 free relay was second in 3:51.94. That consisted of Johnson, junior
Haley Roed, freshman
Katelin Winter and Rodolvalho.
MSUM is back in action on Nov. 9-10 at the St. Thomas Invite in St. Paul, Minn.
