Dragon Women's Tennis to Face Mavericks and Mustangs in Bismarck This Week

MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead tennis team will travel to Bismarck, N.D. for two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches this week. They will face Minnesota State, Mankato on Friday at 7 p.m. before finishing the weekend Saturday at 9 a.m. against Southwest Minnesota State.

Last Time Out
The Dragons had their four-match win streak snapped on Saturday when they lost to Augustana 9-0. Prior to that, they had defeated Sioux Falls 7-2. In the win, the Dragons picked up singles wins from Olivia Keelin, Alexis Konecne, Ricquel Ramsbottom and Emma Zamora, while all three doubles pairings won.

Team Leaders
Swenne Albert is the lone Dragon who remains undefeated, with a 3-0 record in singles play and a 3-0 record in doubles play. The doubles pairing of Albert and Konecne is 3-0 this season. The pairing of Ramsbottom and Emma Zamora are 4-1 this season, while Keelin and Geske are 3-2 on the season in doubles matches. In singles matches, Ramsbottom and Konecne are both 4-1 on the season.

Upcoming Matches
The Dragons will travel to Orlando, Fla, for their annual spring break trip. While there, they will play five matches before returning to the Fargo-Moorhead area for four straight home matches, with three being NSIC matches. They will end the season with a trip to Winona, Minn. To face Upper Iowa and Winona State before going to Minnetonka, Minn. For the NSIC Championships on April 20-22.
