FARGO, N.D. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 win over the University of Mary in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Saturday at Courts Plus in Fargo, N.D.
MSUM is now 11-2 overall and 6-1 in the NSIC while UMary fell to 4-7 overall and 2-5 in the league.
"The Dragons played a smart and focused match today," MSUM assistant coach
Andrea Hansen said. "Mary is a strong team with tough players all through the lineup. The Dragons were able to step up their play in doubles when matches got close. They stayed focused after doubles and continued to play at a high level in the singles matches. I am proud of the way everyone competed in our singles matches with focus and positive attitude."
The Dragons swept three competitive doubles matches. Freshman
Julia Geske and sophomore
Olivia Keelin beat Lucia Bolibruch and Kelsey Jajom 8-3 at No. 1 doubles for the Dragons. MSUM's tandem of freshman

Alexis Konecne survived a tough 8-6 match with Mary's Tasha Dembo and Emily Bichler at No.2 doubles. At the third doubles slot, senior
Ricquel Ramsbottom and sophomore
Emma Zamora picked up an 8-5 win over Lisa Anderson and Danielle Wolf.
MSUM won five of the six singles matches with the Marauders picking up a win at No. 1.
Keelin rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Bolibruch at No. 2 for MSUM while Albert survived a tough 3-6, 6-3, 10-7 match at No. 3 with Lajom. Sophomore
Alyssa Wolf cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Danielle Wolf at No. 4 singles. Ramsbottom picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win over Cristina Bremar at No. 5 singles for the Dragons while Konecne beat Bichler, 6-4, 7-5 at No. 6.
The Dragons will play three matches at home next weekend, starting with a nonconference match on Friday vs. Minnesota Morris.
