MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead softball team lost a doubleheader to Northern State on Thursday, losing to the Wolves 6-0 and 12-1.
MSUM had four hits in the opener, all singles. Senior outfielder

Payton Gaber had hits.
Berth took the loss for MSUM, giving up six runs (five earned) in seven innings. She struck out two and walked one.
In Game 2, freshman outfielder Kylie Lange was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Dummer, Novacek, junior second baseman Lexie Kennedy and sophomore outfielder
Taylor Kelenic had hits. Senior catcher
Megan Asham reached base three times – twice by walk and once by a hit by a pitch.

Tori White took the loss for MSUM, giving up 12 runs (nine earned) in six innings.
The Dragons' run came in the fourth. Kennedy singled and moved to second on a single by Novacek. Dummer reached on a fielder's choice which forced out Kennedy at third. One out later, Lange recorded her first collegiate RBI with a single to make it 5-1.
The Wolves added three runs in the fifth on a three-run homer and four runs in the sixth to secure the win.
MSUM faces Winona State for a doubleheader at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
