MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team continues action at home with a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contests. The Dragons will face Minot State on Friday at 3 p.m. and the University of Mary on Sunday at 1 p.m.
MSUM is 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the NSIC on the season while Minot is 3-0-1 and 1-0 and Mary is 1-2 and 0-1.
The Dragons are coming off a tight 1-0 loss to NSIC foe Northern State. Sophomore midfielder
Carly Jo Gamrath led the Dragons with three shots and two shots on goal. Freshman defender
Kaylee Parsons added two shots and one shot on goal. Freshman goalkeeper
Kayleigh Sedlacek recorded seven saves for the Dragons.
About MSUM
Gamrath leads the team with five shots and has notched the lone goal for the Dragons which was assisted by Senior defender
Kendall Schauer. Senior midfielder
Jessica Dallman follows closely with four shots, while Freshman defender
Kaylee Parsons has two on the year. Seven Dragons have registered one shot through the first three games. Freshman goalkeeper

Scouting the Opposition
Minot State
The Beavers enter the game with a record of 3-0-1 and and opened NSIC play with a 3-2 win over Mary on Tuesday. They posted victories over Black Hills State University and Oklahoma Baptist University by scores of 6-0 and 3-0, respectively. The Beavers are led by Sofia Lewis, who has six goals and three assists this season and leads the team with 15 points. Lewis leads the conference in both categories. Haley Berryman has added three goals which places her fourth in the conference. Goalkeeper Erin Rafferty has eight saves and has allowed three goals in 355:35 minutes of play.
University of Mary
The Marauders sit at 1-2 overall after losing to Minot State, 3-2 on Tuesday night. They will face Northern State prior to facing MSUM. UMary is led by Hannah Richter and Caylin Cathey who each have two goals and an assist, followed by Lisa Swardh and Jade Smith who each have one goal and one assist. Two goalkeepers have seen playing time with Snædís Daníelsdóttir picking up the win, and Madisyn Waltman posted six saves in 180 minutes of action. Sarah Cook is in her seventh as the Marauder head coach.
A Glance Ahead...
The Dragons will hit the road for an NSIC road trip where they will face the University of Sioux Falls on Sept. 21 at 5 p.m. and Southwest Minnesota State University on Sept. 23 at 1 p.m.
