MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team returns home to host a pair of nationally-ranked opponents this week. The Dragons will host No. 16 Concordia-St. Paul at 3 p.m. on Friday and then host No. 21 Minnesota State, Mankato at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
MSUM is 4-4-4 overall and 2-4-3 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference entering the week.
The Dragons split on the road last weekend, beating Wayne State 1-0 on Friday thanks to a winning goal from senior defender
Lindsey Brownell. They fell to first-place Augustana 3-0 on Sunday.
Freshman forward
Mckenzie Ickert leads MSUM with three goals, three assists and nine points. Junior midfielder
Jensen Odegaard has two goals, one assist and five points. Senior defender
Maren Soupir also has two goals while sophomore forward
Anna Steadland has two assists and leads the team with 22 shots, including 13 on goal.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Kayleigh Sedlacek is 3-2-3 in net with four shutouts. She has allowed only eight goals in 890 minutes and has 63 saves.
Christie Kopietz is in her fourth season as the MSUM head coach.

No. 19 Concordia-St. Paul enters the week on a four-game winning streak and with an 11-0-2 overall record. The Golden Bears have outscored their opponents 25-5 this season. Hannah Pedersen has four goals, seven assists and 15 points. Leah Johnson has four goals and four assists while Nikki Anderson has five goals and 11 points. Jordyn Clark has eight shutouts in net and has 45 saves on the season. Steve Bellis is his ninth season as the CSP head coach with a record of 69-76-14.
About Minnesota State
MSU is 11-2 overall and 8-2 in the NSIC. The Mavericks, who will face Northern State prior to facing MSUM, have won five in a row entering the week. Sophomore Jenny Vetter has 12 goals, six assists and 30 points to lead the Mavericks while Brynn Designs has seven goals, eight assists and 22 points. Allie Williams has seven goals and 17 points. Senior goalkeeper Alexa Rabune has a 9-1 record with 45 saves and a 0.50 goals allowed average this season in 11 starts. Brian Bahl is in his seventh season as the MSU head coach with a record of 120-16-11.
