MSUM Women's Soccer Falls to Warriors, 2-0

WINONA, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team lost a 2-0 contest Sunday to Winona State in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Sunday in Winona, Minn.

MSUM fell to 3-3-3 overall and 1-3-2 in the NSIC while Winona State improved to 4-5 overall and 3-3 in the league.

Winona State scored just 1:03 into the game and added an insurance goal with less than 10 minutes left to take the win.

Freshman forward Mckenzie Ickert had two shots, including one on goal, for MSUM. Senior midfielder Maren Soupir, junior midfielder Jensen Odegaard, freshman forward Anna Steadland and freshman forward Jalyn Bauer added shots.
Senior goalkeeper Kennedy Rodgers had two saves for MSUM.

The Dragons return home on Friday to host St. Cloud State for a 4 p.m. game.
