HONOLULU, Hawaii — Junior guard Sarah Jacobson scored a season-high 15 points to lead the No. 11 Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team to a 61-45 nonconference win over Hawaii-Hilo on Wednesday night in Honolulu, Hawaii.

MSUM is now 6-0 on the year while Hawaii-Hilo fell to 1-1.

Jacobson hit 3-of-7 three-pointers and also added seven rebounds.

Senior forward Megan Hintz had her fourth-straight double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds while adding three assists and two blocks. Ten different Dragons reached the scoring column.

MSUM led 13-10 after one quarter but stretched that lead to 30-17 by halftime by outscoring the Vulcans 17-7.  Jacobson had seven points in the second quarter while Hintz had six, including a three-pointer in the final seconds to push the lead to 13.

A three by sophomore guard Nicole Herbranson with 6:58 left in the third pushed the lead to 38-19 and MSUM never was threatened after that.

Senior forward Madi Green had seven points.  Herbranson made her season debut after missing games with injury and had four points in 10 minutes of action.

MSUM faces Cal State-San Marcos at 6 p.m. Central time on Thursday in Honolulu.
