MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contest to St. Cloud State in action on a cold Wednesday in Moorhead, Minn.
MSUM fell to 6-7-4 overall and 4-7-3 in the league and also saw its hopes of reaching the NSIC tournament end with the defeat. St. Cloud State improved to 10-4-3 overall and 9-3-2 in the league.
"I'm really proud we were in the hunt for playoffs going into this last game," MSUM head coach
Christie Kopietz said.
The Dragons ,who have never beaten St. Cloud State in soccer, trailed 1-0 at halftime but two second-half goals helped the Huskies pull away.

The Dragons wrap up the 2019 season at Northern State on Friday. Game time is 3 p.m. in Aberdeen, S.D.
