MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team will travel to Grand Forks, N.D. for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches this week. The Dragons will face Bemidji State University on Friday at 3:30 p.m. and University of Minnesota Crookston on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Last Time Out
MSUM picked up three wins last week with a 6-1 win over nonconference opponent Gustavus Adophus College before completing the sweep with a pair of 7-0 wins over NSIC foes Southwest Minnesota State and Minnesota State, Mankato.

Lorissa Yuen each picked up three singles wins. MSUM improves to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the NSIC.
Geske Named NSIC Tennis Player of the Week
Sophomore
Julia Geske was a perfect 3-0 at No. 1 singles on the weekend and teamed up with
Olivia Keelin for a 3-0 mark at No. 1 doubles. Geske is 5-1 in singles and 5-1 in doubles this season.
Scouting the Opposition
Bemidji State University
The Beavers are 4-4 overall and 2-2 in the NSIC after a 4-1 loss to University of Sioux Falls and a 4-0 loss to Augustana University last week. In the loss to USF, Hannah Alme picked up BSU's lone points with a straight-set, 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles. Augustana picked up the doubles points with two wins and took three of the four singles matches, with an unfinished match at the No. 1 spot. MSUM defeated BSU 7-2 last season.
University of Minnesota Crookston
The Golden Eagles are 0-5 overall and 0-4 in the NSIC after a 1-6 loss to University of Sioux Falls and a 0-5 loss to Augustana University last week. UMC took No. 2 singles by forfeit against USF. The UMC roster boasts three seniors, two juniors, one sophomore, and one freshman. MSUM defeated UMC 9-0 last season.
