MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead softball team was swept in a doubleheader by Minnesota Duluth on Wednesday, falling 6-3 and 11-3 in action at the MSUM Softball Field. On the day, sophomore pitcher
Becky Berth became MSUM's all-time leader in single-season innings itch with 208.1, breaking the previous mark of 204.2 set by Susan Lasch in 1990.
In the opener, Berth took the loss, giving up six runs, only three earned, in seven innings. She struck out four.

Taylor Roddie was 2-for-4 with a run scored for MSUM while sophomore designated hitter
Ashley McCance was 2-for-4. Junior third baseman
Emma Dummer had a single and an RBI while freshman catcher

Samantha Gjerde had singles.
UMD capitalized on a pair of MSUM errors to take a 3-0 lead in the second. MSUM scored a run on an error in the third, and then cut the lead to 6-3 late thanks to an RBI single from Dummer and Weber scoring on a caught stealing play.
In the second game, Lang was 2-for-3 with an RB while Dummer and Roddie each had hits and RBI. Gjerde was 2-for-3. McNeilly, Gaber and sophomore outfielder
Elizabeth Johnson added hits for MSUM.
Freshman
Anna Lang took the loss for MSUM, giving up six earned runs in 1.1 innings. Berth allowed three earned runs in 5.2 innings of relief, striking out three.
MSUM trailed 5-0 after the first. The Dragons cut the lead to 7-3 in the fourth thanks to RBI singles from Roddie and Weber. UMD scored the final four runs to pull away.
The Dragons are scheduled to play at Concordia-St. Paul. The games will be held on Friday, instead of Saturday, beginning at 3 p.m. in St. Paul.
