JAMESTOWN, N.D. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 tie with Jamestown in an exhibition on Monday night in Jamestown, N.D.
The game was the final exhibition for the Dragons, who beat Concordia 1-0 in an exhibition last week.
Jamestown led 1-0 but senior midfielder
Maren Soupir scored a goal off of an assist from sophomore forward
Anna Steadland to tie the game.
"It showed that we are capable of fighting back after going down a goal," MSUM head coach
Christie Kopietz said. "That's a good lesson to learn early."
The Dragons now turn their attention to the regular season. They will play at Nebraska-Kearney at 5 p.m. on Sept. 6 and then will face Harding in a neutral-site game in Kearney on Sept. 8.
