MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team won a thrilling 2-1 contest over Michigan Tech in non conference action Friday in Moorhead, Minn.
MSUM is now 2-0-1 on the year while Michigan Tech fell to 1-1-1.
"We really weathered the storm in the first half and came out strong in the second half," MSUM head coach
Christie Kopietz said. "They were a really good team and it was a battle."

Jensen Odegaard had goals for MSUM while Odegaard and freshman
Mckenzie Ickert had assists.
Senior goalkeeper
Kennedy Rodgers played the first half and had nine saves, allowing no goals. Sophomore goalkeeper
Kayleigh Sedlacek had six saves and allowed one goal.
The first half was scoreless but MSUM scored quickly in the second as Osier scored off of an assist from Odegaard less than four minutes into the second half. Less than three minutes later, Odegaard scored her second goal of the year off of an assist from Ickert.
Michigan Tech scored with about 20 minutes left to cut the lead to 2-1 but MSUM made the lead stand.
MSUM opens Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play on Sept. 20 at Minot State.
