More about the Dragons
Well Received

Junior receiver Grady Bresnahan leads the NSIC at 8.03 receptions per game. Bresnahan leads the Dragons with 25 catches for 308 yards and a score.  He hauled in 11 passes for 146 yards in the win over Northern; the 146 yards tied a career high. He was named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week after that performance.

Week 4 Under Laqua
MSUM is 3-5 in the Steve Laqua era during week 4 games. MSUM ended a five-game losing streak on Week 4 with a 21-20 win over Concordia-St. Paul in 2017 and in 2018 won at UMary, 48-20. The Dragons had lost five straight week 4 games, including a 36-34 loss to Concordia St. Paul in 2013 and a 28-14 loss to Minnesota State last season. MSUM lost to Southwest Minnesota State 48-9 in 2015. In 2014, MSUM lost to Sioux Falls 73-21. In 2012, they lost to Minnesota State 24-0.

Ochsendorf Shines
Sophomore punter Blake Ochsendorf had a big day in MSUM's opening win and also delivered big in the win at Northern.  His 51-yard punt pinned Northern deep in its territory and the defense forced a three-and-out, setting up the winning score in the final minute. Ochsendorf is averaging 40.6 yards per punt this season.

Well Taken Care Of
Taking care of the ball was a big key to MSUM earning a trip to the Mineral Water Bowl in 2018 as the Dragons consistently ranked near the top of the NSIC in turnover margin. Through two games in 2019, that trend has continued as MSUM is sixth in the league in turnover ratio at +3. The Dragons have committed only two turnovers in three games and forced five.
