MOORHEAD, Minn. — Minnesota State University Moorhead head women's tennis coach Jason Thiner has announced that Tia Dykema of Osakis, Minn., has signed to join the Dragon program in 2021-22.

Dykema is a five-time state qualifier, with three of those trips coming with the Osakis High School team. She is a three-time all-conference, five-time team MVP and all-conference MVP honoree. She has served as team captain the past two years.

"We are very excited to add a player and person of Tia's caliber to the Dragon women's tennis program," Thiner said. "She will fit in beautifully with our lineup and and with the MSUM student body."

She has a total of 120 career wins in her high school career. During her senior season, which was limited by the Covid-19 pandemic, she was 13-0.

Dykema is a six-year letterwinner in tennis and also has lettered in softball.
