MSUM Swim and Dive Program Announces 2020-21 Recruiting Class

MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead swimming and diving program has announced its 2020-21 recruiting class.

"It truly is a great day to be a Dragon!  We are very excited to welcome our incoming freshman class to our returning team," MSUM head coach Charlie King said. "We have enjoyed the recruiting process and getting to know each one of them.  Our team's excitement grows with the opportunities we have, and we look forward to seeing each individual contribute to the team's future success."

Here is a look at the 2020-21 class:
Aubrey Bach (Freestyle, Glenwood, Iowa/Lewis Central HS)
2-time state qualifier in 100 freestyle…also qualified in 200 free and as a part of five relays in career…part of medley relay that set school record in 2019…three-year letterwinner.

Jordyn Danielson (Freestyle, Grand Forks, N.D./Red River HS)
State champion in 500 freestyle…all-state and all-conference honoree…team captain and MVP…swam for RRV Wahoos for 10 years…six-year letterwinner.

Dena Fischer (Diving, New York Mills, Minn./New York Mills HS)
Three-time state diving participant for Perham/New York Mills/Henning squad…holds school records for 6-dive (262.45) and 11-dive (416.50) events…2019 section champion and all-conference honoree…2019 team cat1ptain…also all-conference honorable mention selection twice.

Kseniia Gaidamukha (Back/Free,  St. Petersburg, Russia/High School 356,)
Placed first in St. Petersburg competition…third place in Russian Championship…first and second places in Russian Cup…three-year letterwinner.

Emily Miner (Fly/IM, Chanhassen, Minn./Chanhassen HS)
All-Conference honoree and also earned all-conference honorable mention honors…competed in 200 IM and 100 butterfly…made state team four times for Foxjets Swim Team…four-year letterwinner…

Ellie Pulkrabek (Freestyle, Warren, Minn./East Grand Forks HS)
Swimming for Grand Forks Central, was North Dakota State qualifier in 200 and 500 free events…all-conference selection…team captain…two-time MVP…swam for Wahoos Club for 11 years…six-year letterwinner.

Vasilina Shipilova (IM/Breaststroke/Backstroke, New Lynn, Auckland, New Zealand/Mt. Albert Grammar School)
2019 national high school champion…set three high school records in 2019…two-time team captain..swam for MAGS Swimming Club from 2005-2019.
