BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team has been selected to finish eighth in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference according to a preseason polling of the league's head coaches.
 
The Dragons received 121 points in the poll. Minnesota Duluth was selected as the preseason favorite, receiving 12 first-place votes.
 
MSUM, which returns three starters from last year's 7-6 team, was picked to finish fourth in the NSIC North Division as well.
 
Junior forward Peyton Boom has been selected as MSUM's Player to Watch. Boom was an All-NSIC North first-team selection a year ago after averaging 14.0 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
