MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team will finish the 2021 regular season at home with a conference matchup against Northern State on Friday at 3 p.m. this weekend.
MSUM is 1-15-1 overall and 1-12-1 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Northern State is 7-5-4 overall and 6-4-4 in the league.
The Dragons lost to Minnesota Duluth on Friday 1-0 before tying St. Cloud State, 1-1 on Sunday.
Freshmen
Ally Peters and
Liana Ulness, senior
Anna Steadland, and junior
Allison Tharp lead the team in goals with one each. Steadland also leads the team in shots on goal with eight, followed closely by Tharp with six.
Sophomore
Ava Kieser and junior
Mason Kimble have assists.
Senior goalkeeper
Kayleigh Sedlacek has 107 saves and a 1.76 goals allowed average this season.
Christie Kopietz is in her sixth year as head coach at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
About Northern State
The Wolves are 7-5-4 pm the season and 6-4-4 in the NSIC after a loss to St. Cloud State and battling Minnesota Duluth to a double-overtime 1-1 tie last week. Freshman Megan Fastenau leads the team in goals with eight. Fastenau also leads the team in shots on goal with 22, followed by senior DeAnna LeMire with 13. Freshman goalkeeper Alexus Townsend leads the team in saves with 89. Bob Casper is in his first season as head coach at Norther State University.
