MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team will travel to Duluth, Minn., to play its next two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opponents this weekend. The unbeaten Dragons face Minnesota Duluth on Saturday and St. Cloud State on Sunday.
The MSUM women's tennis team remain undefeated as they advanced to 4-0 overall and in the NSIC after defeating Winona State [4-3] and Upper Iowa [7-0] last weekend at Courts Plus. Senior Julia Geske, juniors Mikaela Griechen and Miranda Griechen and Emma Andersen all went 2-0 in singles.
Those are MSUM's only two home matches of the season.
Geske and juniors Mikaela Griechen and Miranda Griechen are each 4-0 in singles. Andersen is 3-0 in singles while senior Lorissa Yuen is 3-1. Andersen has a 3-1 doubles mark while freshman Madison Bell, junior Rachel Nguyen and Yuen are all 2-1 in doubles.
Minnesota Duluth is currently 1-3 overall and in the NSIC after to losing to Augustana University [7-0] and Sioux Falls [5-2] in their last match. Senior Natalie Cahill and Freshman Shay Callaway each are 3-1 in singles. Freshman Abby Johnson and Sophomore Emily Rahrik are 3-1 in doubles.
St. Cloud State is 1-3 overall and in the NSIC after losing to Augustana University [7-0] and Sioux Falls [4-3] in their last match. Junior Olivia Fredrickson is 2-0 in singles, while Seniors Hina Goldsmith and Jill Kedrowski are 2-0 in doubles.
