MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team takes its school-record 16-match winning streak to Bismarck, N.D., this weekend. MSUM will face the University of Sioux Falls at 1 p.m. on Saturday and follow with a match against defending Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Champion Augustana at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
Both matches will be held at the Capital Racquet and Fitness Center in Bismarck.
MSUM is 7-0 overall and in the conference and the Dragons are tied with the Augustana Vikings for first place in the NSIC. Juniors Mikaela Griechen and Miranda Griechen lead MSUM with 7-0 records in singles. Senior Julia Geske is 6-1 in singles. In doubles, Juniors Mikaela Griechen and Miranda Griechen hold a 4-3 record.
Junior Emma Andersen is 6-1 on singles and 4-3 in doubles. Senior Lorissa Yuen is 5-2 in singles and 5-1 in doubles. Senior Rachel Nguyen is 4-3 in singles and 2-1 in doubles.
Jason Thiner is in his first season as the MSUM head coach.
About Sioux Falls
The Sioux Falls Cougars are 3-2 in the NSIC and 3-3 on the season. The Cougars' last contest resulted in a 7-0 loss to the Augustana Vikings. The top performer for the Cougars is senior Joelle Thorfinnson, who is 4-2 in singles and 3-3 in doubles. Senior Megan Quandt is 4-2 in doubles.

The Augustana Vikings are 8-1 on the season and 5-0 in the NSIC. The Vikings are tied with the Dragons for first place in the NSIC. The Vikings last contest resulted in a 7-0 victory over Rockhurst. Top performer for the Vikings is freshman Valeriya Monko, who is 9-0 in singles. In doubles, Valeriya Monko and Florentia Hadigeorgiou are 9-0. The Vikings are 30-0 in singles and 15-0 in doubles while playing teams in the NSIC for the 2021 season.
