Dragon Women's Soccer Falls at Minot State, 3-1

MINOT, N.D. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team led 1-0 at halftime but Minot State scored three second-half goals to secure a 3-1 win over the Dragons in action Friday in Minot, N.D.

MSUM is now 0-1 on the spring season. 

Freshman Morgan Bachelor got MSUM on the board at the 35:43 mark of the first half with an assist from junior Anna Steadland

Minot scored three times in the second, including two gold in a span of 25 seconds late in the game, to capture the win.

Junior goalkeeper Kayleigh Sedlacek had 10 saves. Junior defender Kaylee Parsons, forward Jax Wetteland and sophomore midfielder Megan Zander added shots on goal. 

"The team fought hard and had a gritty performance," MSUM head coach Christie Kopietz said. "It's our first game this spring against a conference opponent, we will be looking to build off this game heading into our next one."
