MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team wraps up the regular season with a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches this Saturday in Owatonna, Minn. MSUM will face Minnesota State-Mankato at 1 p.m. on Saturday and then face Southwest Minnesota State at 7 p.m. that day.
MSUM is 7-2 overall and in the NSIC this season. The Dragons lost to Sioux Falls (5-2) and Augustana (7-0) on March 27-28 in their last action.
Juniors Mikaela Griechen and Miranda Griechen are each 7-2 in singles for MSUM while junior Emma Andersen is 6-2 and senior Julia Geske is 6-3. MSUM is 36-18 (.667) in singles this season.
Senior Lorissa Yuen is 5-1 in doubles on the season while Geske is 5-3. The Dragons are 15-12 (.556) in doubles this season.
Jason Thiner is in his first season as the MSUM head coach.

Minnesota State is 2-12 overall and 1-8 in the NSIC. The Mavericks lost matches to Upper Iowa (5-2) and Winona State (7-0) last weekend. Lauren Goth and Sarah Johansen are each 4-10 in singles for the mavericks. Johansen and Abigail Clayton have teamed up for a 3-10 doubles mark. Ryan Kucera is in his first year as the MSU head coach.
About SMSU
The Mustangs are 6-5 overall and 6-1 in the NSIC. They lost to Winona State, 5-2 on March 27 in their last action. Senior Maegan Flight is 7-3 at No. 1 singles for SMSU while freshman Maja Louisa Harck is 7-4 in singles. Harck is also 7-4 in doubles this season. Jon Parker is in his second season as the SMSU head coach.
