MOORHEAD, Minn. — Goals by senior forward Anna Steadland and sophomore defender Sami Farrell led the Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team to a 2-1 exhibition win over Jamestown in action Sunday at the MSUM Soccer Field.
The game was played with three 30-minute periods.
Steadland's goal came just 5:35 into the game with an assist from sophomore Jalyn Bauer. MSUM added to the lead at the 56:03 mark as Farrell scored off of an assist from senior Jennifer Wickman.
Senior goalkeeper Kayleigh Sedlacek and sophomore Simone Lewald each had a save for MSUM.
"It's good to get the first game under our belts so we can continue to find consistency with each other," MSUM head coach Christie Kopietz said.
The Dragons will play host to Concordia College at 3 p.m. on Wednesday for their final exhibition game.
