MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team opens Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play this week with a pair of home games. MSUM hosts Minnesota Crookston at 3 p.m. on Friday in a battle for the Rivalry Rock game, and then will host Bemidji State at 1 p.m. on Sunday for Parents Day.
The Dragons have started their season 0-3 after losses to Montana State-Billings and Black Hills State last week.
Freshman forward Ally Peters leads the team in goals with one. Senior Anna Steadland, junior Jalyn Bauer, and freshman Emma Caito lead the team in shots on goal with three each.
Senior goalkeeper Kayleigh Sedlacek has eight saves in two starts for MSUM.
Christie Kopietz is in her sixth season as the MSUM head coach.

Minnesota Crookston has started the season 0-3 after a loss to Michigan Tech last week. Junior Morgan Leplante leads the team in goals with one. Freshman Abby Fettinger leads the team in shots on goal with four. Kyle Halfpop enters his third season as head coach at Minnesota Crookston.
About Bemidji State
Bemidji State has started its season 3-0 after an overtime win against Northern Michigan last week. Senior Sara Wendt leads the team in goals with four, followed closely by junior Maggie Cade with two. Seniors Sara Wendt and Allyson Smith lead the team in shots on goal with six each. Jim Stone enters his 20th season as head coach at Bemidji State.
