MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 contest to Minnesota Crookston in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action on Friday at the Nemzek Soccer Field in Moorhead.
MSUM fell to 0-4 on the year and 0-1 in the NSIC. UMC improved to 1-3 overall and 1-0 in the league.
The Dragons had a 12-6 edge in shots, including 8-4 in the second half, but couldn't find the back of the net.
UMC scored a goal at the 56:44 mark and made the lead stand.
Freshman defender Emma Caito led MSUM with three shots and two shots on goal. Sophomore midfielder Grace Heying had two shots and one on goal.
Senior goalkeeper Kayleigh Sedlacek had three saves for MSUM.
The Dragons host Bemidji State at 1 p.m. on Sunday for Parents Day.
