WINONA, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead volleyball team dropped a three-set match at No. 10 Winona State on Saturday, losing 25-8, 25-14, 25-16.
Winona State (9-1, 1-1 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) hit .462 for the match compared to .112 for the Dragons.
Junior hitter Bridget Witzmann led MSUM with seven kills while junior outside hitter Amanda Carlson had six. Freshman middle blockers Summer Salettel and Abby Thompson had four kills each.
Freshman setter Halle Erickson had 11 assists.
Senior libero Sarah Petrbok had 14 digs while freshman Jadyn Feist had five. Witzmann had one solo block.
MSUM (0-10, 0-2 NSIC) makes its 2021 home debut on Tuesday against Minot State. The match begins at 6 p.m. at Nemzek Fieldhouse.
