MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team will travel to face Augustana on Friday at 4 p.m. central time and Wayne State on Sunday at 1 p.m.. Both games are Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference conference matchups.
MSUM is 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in the NSIC conference after losses to Minnesota Crookston (1-0) in the Rivalry Rock game and undefeated Bemidji State (2-0) last week.
Freshman defender Emma Caito leads the team in shots on goal with five, followed closely by senior forward Anna Steadland with four. Freshman Ally Peters leads the team in goals with one.
Senior goalkeeper Kayleigh Sedlacek has 16 saves in four starts this season.
Christie Kopietz is in her sixth season as head coach at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
About Augustana
Augustana is currently 2-2-1 on the season and 1-0-1 in the NSIC conference after defeating Minnesota State and battling Concordia St. Paul to a draw last week. Senior Morgan Keirstead leads the team in shots on goal with six, followed closely by Junior Sylvia Fehr with 5. Augustana is ranked sixth in the NSIC standings. Brandon Barkus is entering his 16th year as head coach at Augustana.
About Wayne State
Wayne State is 0-4-1 on the season and 0-2 in the NSIC conference after losses to Minnesota State and Concordia St. Paul last week. Senior Megan Phillips leads the team in goals with two, followed closely by freshman Molly Michaelson and junior Skylar Stueckrath with one each. Emily Hester is in her first year as head coach at Wayne State.
