MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team travels to Billings, Mont., to compete in the 7th Annual Rimrock Classic in Memory of Trevor Wildberger this week. The Dragons will face Montana State-Billings at 5 p.m. Central time on Thursday and wrap up the trip with a game against Black Hills State at 1 p.m. Central time on Saturday.
MSUM is 0-1 on the year after losing to Nebraska-Kearney, 1-0 on Sept. 2.
The Dragons had 10 shots on goal, including three from senior forward Anna Steadland and two from freshman defender Emma Caito. Senior goalkeeper Kayleigh Sedlacek had three saves for the Dragons.
MSUM had a 20-9 edge in shots in the game.
Christie Kopietz is in her sixth season as the MSUM head coach.

Montana State University Billings is 1-1-1 on the season. The Yellow Jackets beat Nebraska-Kearney 1-0, tied UMary at 1-1 and lost to Northern State 1-0 to open the season. Freshmen Maddie Smith and Jordan Roe lead the team in goals with one each. Stephen Cavallo enters his fourth season as the head coach at MSUB.
About Black Hills State
The Yellow Jackets opened the season with a 1-0 loss to Southwest Minnesota State on Sept. 3 in Spearfish, S.D. Black Hills State will face UMary prior to facing MSUM. Makayla Dannelly had four saves for Black Hills State. Andrew Conniff is in his first season as the Black Hills State head coach.
