Meet Results
BROOKINGS, S.D. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead track and field teams picked up four wins at the South Dakota State D2 Invitational which was held Friday in Brookings, S.D.
Sophomore
Travis Joseph won the men's high jump at 7-0 1/2 which is best in the nation and topped his opening mark of 6-11 1/2 he attained at the Dakota Classic at North Dakota State on Dec. 3. Senior
Chris Cook was third at 6-8 3/4, a season-best.
Junior
Shyrone Kemp won the triple jump at 50-1 1/4 which is tied for fourth best in the nation and best in the NSIC this season. It is also an NCAA qualifying mark.
The men's 4x400 relay picked up the win in 3:19.09, edging Mount Marty's team by .11 seconds. That consisted of junior
Ty Dawkins, freshman
Elliott MacLennan, Joseph and sophomore
Ibrahim Oduong.
Senior
Rachel Schumacher won the women's high jump in 5-5.
Caitlin Pritchett tied for fourth at 5-1.
Sophomore
Ashley Hokanson was second in the pole vault at 11-11 3/4 which was second best in the NSIC so far this season.
Sophomore
Robynn Curry was sixth in the 60-meter dash in 7.90 and seventh in the 200 in 25.57.
Oduong was fourth in the 400 in 49.38 while
Shaquiel Higgs was sixth in the 60-meter dash in 7.06.
MSUM will have athletes competing at Concordia on Saturday.
