MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead track and field teams picked up nine wins at the Cobber Open which was held Saturday at Concordia College in Moorhead.
Junior
Robynn Curry won the women's 60-meter dash in 8.06 and added a win in the long jump at 16-9 3/4 to lead the way with two wins.
Senior
Rachel Schumacher won the high jump at 5-2 1/4 with
Caitlin Pritchett second at 5-0 ¼. Schumacher also won the high jump at the SDSU D2 Invitational on Friday.
Senior
Chris Cook won the men's long jump in 21-9 with freshman
Colby Larson taking third at 21-0. Senior
Shaquiel Higgs won the 60-meter hurdles at 9.03.
Junior
Ty Dawkins won the 60-meter dash in 6.92 with junior
Kory Powell-Oliver third in 7.12.
Sophomore
Adnew Stueven was victorious in the 3,000 meters in 9:11.27.
Sophomore
Braxton Bruer won the 800 in 1:57.52 while freshman
Kade Larson won the triple jump at 38-11 1/2
Freshman
Aislin Anderson was fourth in the women's mile at 5:35.88.
Junior
Ben Oie was third in the shot put at 44-9 and senior
Colton Cook was fourth at 44-5 1/2
Senior
Nadir Yusuf ran the 3,000 meters at the South Dakota State Jim Emmerich Alumni Invitational. He finished seventh with a time of 8:28.55, which is the fastest in the NSIC this season.
MSUM is scheduled to compete at the UND Open on Jan. 28-29 in Grand Forks.
