PREVIEW: Soccer hits the road for matches against Warriors and Peacocks

Dragons soccer will travel to Winona State at 5pm on Friday, then to Upper Iowa at 1:30pm on Sunday.

The Dragons are 2-7-2 on the season and 2-6-2 against NSIC opponents after defeating Southwest Minnesota State University and battling University of Sioux Falls to a tie last weekend. Freshman Jensen Seidel leads the team in goals with 4. Seidel also leads the team in shots on goal with 12. Freshman Carter Quinn leads the team in saves with 43, followed by Junior Simone Lewald with 40.


About Winona State
The Warriors are 6-4-3 on the season and 4-3-3 against NSIC opponents after falling to Bemidji State University and defeating the University of Minnesota Crookston last weekend. Senior Riley Harmon leads the team in goals with 5, followed closely by Senior Jaida Wiege with 4. Sophomore Chloe Swanson leads the team in saves with 51. Matt Kellogg is in his fifth season as head coach at Winona State.

About Upper Iowa
The Peacocks are 2-8-3 on the season and 1-6-3 against NSIC opponents after falling to the University of Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State last weekend. Graduate Students Jordan Zarate and Haley Ramburg, and Senior Katie Samuels lead the team in goals wth 4 apiece. Freshman Isabelle Wagner leads the team in saves with 29. Josh Davis is in his first season as head coach at Upper Iowa University.
