ABERDEEN, S.D. -- MSUM traveled to Northern State and came up short against a talented Wolves team, dropping the contest 35-7.
In a road test against the best statistical defense in the Northern Sun, the Dragons could not overcome a balanced Wolves attack this afternoon in Aberdeen.

In the later stages of the opening frame, Northern State was able to strike first after a Stanley Haskins Jr. two-yard run and score. Both teams traded fumbles on their opening drive and the Wolves took advantage of the MSUM error.

Northern State capped off a 14 play, 71-yard drive with a Will Madler four-yard pass to Caleb Schnetzel to put the Wolves up 14-0. MSUM ran 12 plays in the second quarter.

A five-play, 37-yard drive for the Wolves culminated in a Isaiah Cherrier run inside the red zone to take a commanding 21-0 lead over the Dragons.

Will Madler connected with Ben Noland for an eight-yard score halfway through the quarter to give Northern State a 28-0 lead. The Dragons were able to get on the scoreboard with just over four minutes left as
