Complete Final Results
MANKATO, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead track and field teams picked up three more individual championships Saturday at the NSIC Indoor Championships. The MSUM men finished with five titles all together and finished a strong third place with 126 points.
The Dragon women finished in 10th place with 16 points. For the weekend, the Dragon men finished with five individual conference titles and 15 All-NSIC Honors.
Junior
Shyrone Kemp won his second NSIC title of the weekend, while sophomores
Braxton Bruer and
Travis Joseph also won conference championships to cap off an excellent week for the Dragon men.
Kemp added another conference title to his resume, winning the triple jump with a mark of 51-0. Kemp won the long jump on Friday and now has five NSIC titles. Kemp was fourth in the high jump at 6-6 3/4.
Bruer won the first NSIC title of his career in the 800 meters, winning in 1:52.76 and setting a school record. Bruer won by .54 seconds over Augustana's Austin Miller.
Joseph won the high jump with a mark of 6-11 for his first NSIC championship. He is a former NAIA national champion in the high jump. Senior
Chris Cook earned All-NSIC honors with a runner-up finish in the high jump at 6-9 3/4, tying a season-best.
Junior
Ty Dawkins earned All-NSIC honors in the 400-meter dash with a runner-up finish in 48.47, losing to Minnesota State's Kornelius Klah by .02 seconds. Senior
Nadir Yusuf picked up his second All-NSIC honor of the weekend, placing third in the 3,000 meters in 8:19.84. Sophomore
Adnew Stueven also picked up All-NSIC honors in the 1,000 meters, finishing second at 2:30.02.
Freshman
Elliott MacLennan picked up All-NSIC honors in the 200 meters, running a time of 22.05 to finish second. Dawkins picked up his second All-NSIC honor of the weekend, taking third in 22.10.
MacLennan, Bruer, sophomore
Ibrahim Oduong and Dawkins also earned All-NSIC honors in the 4x400 relay after finishing second in 3:21.14.
Cook finished fifth in the triple jump at 46-8 while Stueven was fifth in the mile at 4:16.31 MacLennan was sixth in the 400 in 50.72 while
Ibrahim Oduong was seventh in 50.72.
For the Dragon women, junior
Robynn Curry was seventh in the 200-meter dash in 25.36.
