WINONA, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team won three singles matches but Upper Iowa claimed the key team doubles point in a 4-3 win over the Dragons in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Saturday in Winona, Minn.
MSUM fell to 0-2 overall and in the league while Upper Iowa improved to 1-0.
The Peacocks won at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to pick up the team doubles point. Sophomore

Greta Reichmann picked up their second doubles win of the weekend with a 6-3 win over Padmasree Murugan and Elaina Wall for the Dragons.
"We had a much better outing today," MSUM head coach
Jason Thiner said. "The team was in a much better mental state today.

Freshman
Tia Dykema picked up her first collegiate singles win with a 6-4, 6-1 over Lina Ziani at the No. 4 slot. Bell beat Murugan, 6-7, 6-4, 10-4 at No. 5 singles for MSUM while Reichmann beat Wall, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3.
MSUM will venture into nonconference play on Feb. 13 at Division I foe North Dakota. The match begins at 10 a.m. at Choice Health and Fitness in Grand Forks.
