ORLANDO, Fla. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's tennis team won all six singles matches on its way to a 6-1 win over Macalester in nonconference action Friday in Orlando, Fla.
 
MSUM, which finished its Florida trip 3-1, is now 4-8 on the year and has won four of its last five matches. Macalester is now 4-5.
 
"We finished 3-1 on the week with a strong win against Macalester," MSUM head coach Jason Thiner said. "Winning all six singles matches helped us gain confidence going back into our conference season."
 
Macalester won the team doubles point, winning at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. MSUM senior Mikaela Griechen and freshman Tia Dykema prevailed 6-1 at No. 2 over Avery Munster and Meghan Twomey.
 
Senior Emma Andersen, Mikaela Griechen, Miranda Griechen, Dykema, sophomore Madison Bell and freshman Greta Reichmann allo prevailed in singles. Andersen won by a third-set super tiebreaker at No. 1.
 
MSUM is off until March 26 when it hosts UMary at noon.
