MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Minnesota State University Moorhead men's and women's track and field teams open the outdoor season on Saturday at the University of South Dakota Early Bird. Competition begins at 10:30 a.m. in Vermillion, S.D.
 
This meet will be the first action for the Dragon teams since the NCAA Indoor Championships. 
 
Junior Shyrone Kemp was second indoors at the NCAA National Championships in the triple jump with a school record of 52-4. It was his third All-American honor.
 
Sophomore Travis Joseph was 10th in the high jump at nationals and picked up second-team All-American honors. Junior Ty Dawkins advanced to nationals in the 400-meter dash.
