BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Minnesota State University Moorhead junior Shyrone Kemp has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.  
 
A junior from Jonestown, Bahamas, Kemp set a new school record in winning the triple jump at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Friday.  His jump of 51-8 3/4 was an NCAA qualifying jump and is fourth-best in the all of Division II.
 
Kemp has the top jump in the NSIC this season.
 
It is the second honor of the year for Kemp, who earned the honor indoors on Jan. 31.
